Product description

The standard 12oz can cooler in quarter-inch closed-cell foam, printed all the way around. People call these can coolers, can sleeves, or drink sleeves, and this is the item they mean when they ask for custom can coolers for an event. We have shipped these to breweries, festivals, tailgates, weddings, and more corporate giveaways than we can count.

Closed-cell foam is what makes it work. The cells do not absorb water, so condensation stays on the outside of the foam instead of soaking into it, and the trapped air is what slows the can warming up. Open-cell foam gets soggy, holds a smell after a weekend outdoors, and is what you get from the cheapest overseas listings. Quarter inch is the thickness that insulates properly while still folding flat enough to stuff a few hundred into a box.

The print area wraps 4 by 3.5 inches, and full wrap is available if you want art running continuously around the can. Screen printing handles one to four spot colors and gives the crispest edges on text and logos. Full-color sublimation is the option for photographs, gradients, or anything with more colors than screen printing can hold. For most logos, screen printing is both cheaper and sharper.

Weddings are the single most common order, with the couple's names and the date printed on one side. Breweries and taprooms sell them at the bar and give them away at releases. Corporate teams put logo on one side and a tagline on the back. Trade show booths use them because attendees will carry a can cooler back to the hotel when they will not carry a brochure.

The economics are worth understanding before you order. A retail shop will print a dozen can coolers for you at roughly six or seven dollars each. Ordering 100 here drops the unit cost to about five dollars, 250 brings it under four, and at 1000 pieces it lands near two dollars a piece. Can Coolers are an impressions play, not a keepsake play. Every can somebody drinks at the event puts your mark in their hand again, so the run size that matters is the one that covers the whole crowd.

Minimum is 50, with steps at 100, 250, 500, and 1000. The one piece of ordering advice worth taking: count your guests, add fifteen percent, and order that. Running short is the complaint we hear most, and since the unit cost falls so steeply, the extra hundred pieces costs less than the first hundred did. Slim and bottle versions live in the custom can coolers collection. Bar kits usually add bottle openers and stadium cups. The can coolers range has everything else.

Common questions

Is a can cooler the same as a can sleeve? Yes, the two names get used interchangeably. This is the standard 12oz foam can cooler either way.

Screen print or sublimation? Screen print for logos and text, which is sharper and cheaper. Sublimation for photos, gradients, or more than four colors.

Will it fit a slim can? No, this one is sized for a standard 12oz can. We stock a separate slim version for 12oz slim cans.

How many should I order for an event? Plan roughly one per guest plus 15 percent. Running out is the common regret, and the unit cost falls steeply as the run grows.
