Tyvek Event Wristbands

Tyvek wristbands, three-quarter inch wide, with a tamper-evident adhesive closure and a choice of twelve stock colors. Tyvek is a spunbonded olefin, which is the reason these work where paper bands fail. The material is waterproof, so a band survives rain, a pool, a spilled drink, and a shower without turning to pulp. It is also tear resistant in a specific way: you cannot rip it by hand, but it cuts cleanly with scissors, which is exactly the behavior you want on a wristband that has to stay on for three days and come off in one second at the end.

The closure is the security feature. The adhesive strip is die-cut with slits, so any attempt to peel a band off and pass it to somebody else destroys the tab and leaves visible damage. That is what tamper-evident means in practice, and it is why gates accept Tyvek at all. A band with a plain adhesive strip is not access control, it is a bracelet.

Twelve colors let you build a system rather than just a credential. Color by day for a multi-day festival, by access level for VIP, staff, artist, and general admission, by age for the bars, or by session for a conference. Most experienced event operators run at least two dimensions of color, and it makes gate staff decisions instant rather than something they have to read.

Custom printing takes event name, dates, sponsor logos, and sequential numbering. Sequential numbers are worth asking for if you are running a raffle, a capacity count, or a bag check, since a numbered band is a claim ticket you cannot lose. Security patterns that resist photocopying can be printed for higher-risk gates.

The three-quarter inch width is a comfort decision. Full inch bands are stiffer at the wrist and get noticed all day, and half-inch bands look flimsy. Three-quarters is the width that people stop feeling after ten minutes.

Festivals, concerts, and fairs are the volume buyers, using bands as proof of payment at every internal checkpoint. Venues color-code for age-restricted bars and VIP areas. Conferences run one color per day. Water parks, gyms, and campuses use them for day passes.

Bands ship in sheets of 500, with tiers at 1000 and 2500, and the per-band cost falls hard across that range. Two things worth deciding before you order: how many colors your access system actually needs, and whether you want sequential numbering. Numbering is free and turns every band into a claim ticket for raffle tickets, bag check, or a capacity count, so there is little reason to skip it. Staff credentials usually run on lanyards and badge holders instead. If the band is meant to be kept rather than scanned and cut off, silicone wristbands are the better product. Common questions

Can a Tyvek wristband be removed and reused? No. The die-cut adhesive tab tears when peeled, which leaves visible evidence and is the point of a tamper-evident closure.
