The metal lines are at the same level as the colors, and the finish is smooth and almost like jewelry. This is the premium option, and it looks great. For Soft Enamel the colors are recessed below the metal lines to create a textured surface. The cost for this type of finish is lower than the previous two. The Die-Struck finish with no colors is the cleanest option and the cheapest way to produce a pin with a simple metal mark.

Attachment to garment is key and Butterfly Clutches (the standard issue type) are cheap but have a tendency to come loose and drop the pin. Rubber Clutches are better and a Locking Pin Back is essential for any item of value that would cause a problem if lost.

Tooling is usually included at normal quantities, but a first order needs extra lead time while the die is cut. Fobs and rings sit under keychains, with trophies and medals under awards and recognition.
